Kinnon Beaton appointed to Celtic Music Centre

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the new Celtic Music Interpretive Centre in Judique; Chairman A. Lawrence Graham, QC, today announced that Cape Breton fiddler, composer, and business man Kinnon Beaton will oversee the general operation of the new facility as it is set to open this summer. He will have special responsibility for musical planning.

Mr. Graham says the Board is very fortunate to have someone with Kinnon's skills and musical contacts in this position. Mr. Beaton, who is a well-traveled performer and teacher of Cape Breton Fiddle music, is a member of the musical Beaton family of Mabou. Mr. Beaton says he is very excited about taking on the responsibility and is looking forward to piloting the centre through it's initial stages.
